contact Source, they have a kit that uses the stock turbo and can recommend what would be best.

I would run a S476/1.1 T-6, for towing twins. The typical S475/1.32 has a large turbine housing and 96mm turbine disk. Which HX-35 you running? Measurements and housing sizes are important. You are going to have to adjust the HX-35 so the towing twins can tow with low egt's.

We have done lots of different twins combos.

Run either a S476/1.32 96 or a S476 83/1.1 Both works really well. We just built a twin set-up last week using a GT3582R over a S478/1.1 83. Used a 44mm tial gate on a steed manifold. Old school is Bth-3B or a HX-60. BD uses S366 and a S357 for the top.

Mike, what needs to be "done" to the HX35 to make it worthy of a cooler running towing twins setup?

few things, usually we start with massaging the wastegate and turbine housing. I even done a few with larger wastegate flappers. The trouble with the HX35 is that it doesn't flow enough exhaust or air. Typically we run external gates with that turbo, which gives you nice spool-up and decent top end power. Of course that's more complex.

I'm going to try a HE341 over a S366 running a 50mm external, just to try. Its a 56-57mm impeller and 56mm turbine (small), but the S366 is a 0.91 T-4/73mm.

How does one run an external gate on an already gated turbo? Other than the obvious, do you just swap out the housing, and replace the factory gate with a tial dial a flow wheezer that ricers use?

Here is a picture of a towing twins set-up with twins. This set-up is on a 03 CR engine. We had to redesign the air tube differently once this set-up was installed on the truck.

Is that waste gate dumping back into the primary turbo's exhaust inlet?

The gate is a 50mm godspeed. I would run a similar sized gate. We had one new gen turbonetic gate fail on us so far. External gates are more work, but for towing twins, its the answer to high egt's and will enable you to have quick spooling that makes tons of top end power as well. Most towing twins that run internal gates, they have egt issues and restrict top end power.

I tried the hx35 12 and 14....with my ht3b 26.....with the hx35 14 it was ok.......the 12 doesnt flow enough. Now I use an hx40 16 cm with no waist gate. I run ddp 4 injectors #10 full forward and regularly pull 26k.
On hills I ussually run no more then 40 psi just cause I hate when a coupler comes off.
