I have a 2000 24v 2500 4x4 with 3.73 rear end towed a 4000 pound trailer today for the first time and it was all it could do to go 70
My dad tows the same trailer with his 01 powerstroke and has no problem is this normal for the Dodge ?<br>is somthing wrong with it ???<br><br>

I pulled my rig (7K lb horse trailer) today and I could do 90 if I wanted to. But don't. My horses are worth more then the truck and trailer combined.<br><br>Were you using OD? If no, then 70 would be close to max your ears could take. If yes, you can go much faster but not recommended.
