Torque Converter Stall

I am planning on buying a converter in the next week or so, I am leaning towards goerend, I currently have an 1800 stall converter, like it much better than stock, My question is, Dave said their converters stall are about 1800, what I have now, I can get one from another vendor with a 1600 stall for about the same price, what stall do you guys like and what would you recommend? 1800? or 1600?

I think you would be happier with the 1800. It will help your turbo spool a little better

I have one of Daves"older" converters. Mine stalls plenty low. Its great once you get on top of the turbo, but I wish it was a touch looser for spoolup. Just something for you to think about. Dave is now making his a little looser than what mine is. And he can probably make it about whatever stall you want, if you will talk to him about it.

Go with the 1800 if you pull at all.
I have a 1400, and it kind of sucks for pulling a load.

converter

ok, sounds like I will get one from dave, only heard good about them, I will probably get the 100,000 waranty instead of the lifetime for 250 less, if it doesnt fail during 100,000 miles, it probably wont.

How long are you going to keep your truck? will you have it for 100,000 miles with the new converter? if so, the lifetime warranty is probably a better deal.

Minimum 2800??? How do you move. That is for a drag or pulling truck turning 5k rpm's or so.

Yeah, dont know if ill have it in 100000 miles, I have had the truck for 2 years and have only put 10,000 on it in that time, so if it stays the same, that is about 15 to 20 years

That depends on how much power you are putting to it.
