Thuren Crossover Steering
Can someone who has put some miles on one of Don Thuren's crossover steering kits provide some feedback? I'm considering it, but I've heard conflicting opinions on the heim joints. I have no problem spending a little more $$$ if I will get superior performance and durability out of it. FYI, we're talking stock steering and suspension with no serious off roading unless you consider the condition of the roads here in NE Ohio.
Thanks in advance!

The only complaint I have heard about the system is that you can't go back to the stock style components because you have to drill the knuckles to Mount the heim joints. You may consider going with the T style steering set up too. That's what I am looking at. You use the components from a 99 HD steering set up to convert the inverted y to the t style. The TDR has lot's of info on it. The thread is called "steering upgrade (was my steering sucks).

20K on mine so far, very happy with it. So far that's longer than the TRE's ever lasted for me before they started going bad.
TRE's vs. heims is pretty much a wash, TRE's cost about the same as a good heim.
