Tach?
Tach?
I read on the "other site" that a gas tach will work on my 93 if set to 4cyl. I hooked up a dwell tach to the harness under the steering column, got nothing. I also noticed the crank damper has a gap in it. I assume the pick up uses a hall effect or is their supposed to be a magnet in the gap?
Has anyone actually connected a gas tach to the 92/93 wiring harness successfully?
???
Re:Tach?
Gas tach won't work. Best bet is one like isspro that will plug into the connector. An alternator tack will work but is a real pita to get hooked up unless you get one that clamps on the outside like autometer. I rember reading somewhere that you can buy an adaptor to get a gas tach to work but they were in the 80-90 dollar range. Most gas tachs also read too high too. If I get another I will get an Isspro.
