Stainless braided fuel pressure gauge hose

Somebody out there had pics of your custom fuel pressure gauge setup with the stainless braided line. Found my cheap (plastic) line leaking today and going to step it up. If you read this, please PM me. Need some info on that line.

I know this is an old thread but I'm having the same problem out of the nylon tubing. Where can I get some of this line and do you have to install your own fittings?

Summitracing works. I got -4an SS braided hose that fit right into the back of my Autometer gauge. Works great! I wouldn't do it any other way.

trying to get going on my install..... would it defeat the purpose of using SS braided line if you had to run a short piece of 1/8 airbrake line to get to the gauge.... i bought a steering column mount and dont think the clumsy SS hose will work going to that mount...

I think it kinda would. If the nylon tubing was in the engine compartment then it would be different.

I had SS hose in cab, NOISY, attenuates noise into cab ( std shift )
Changed to rubber fuel hose to firewall, than 1/8 copper line ( compression fittings) to the gage.

napa has 1/8 copper, ace has fittings...

I finally got through to my local race shop and he is setting me up with 6' of #4 SS braided. Hopefully this won't fail like the nylon tubing did.

I also had the SS hose go right up to the gauge in the cab, and it was really noisy. I got a 6 inch rubber hose with the same fittings and a needle valve and put them in between the gauge and where I tapped into the fuel.

Did you have a needle valve on with the SS? Right now I'm running nylon tubing with the needle valvle (barely open) and can't hear it at all. If it's going to be noisey with the needle valve, I might just re-think this.

I don't see what is wrong with using the nylon tube? I'm on my second truck, second application without a single issue......

Mine started to leak inside the cab this past weekend so with me being the perfectionist I am, I'm going to go overboard and fix it. I'm sure I could go back with some more nylon, but I think I'll try the SS route and if it's too noisey, then I'll do something else.

Well yeah. That's what a lot of people say "i've had no issues so far..." But how long has it been installed? 2 years? 3 years? I don't EVER want to have an issue. I don't want to be playing with fuel in the cab either. Kinda risky with all the electrical wires under the dash.
