Stacking Smarty and Edge EZ?
There was no point in stacking those two since they both did the same basic thing. The EZ would boost fool and control fueling through the computer, the Smarty does the same functions within the computer.
You could stack the Smarty and Edge Comp (or TST), but in those cases, the boxes were providing additional fueling by tapping the pump wire so there was added benefit.

Thanks, Aggie. If I remember correctly I read a long time ago the edge ez was a limited design similar to the Smarty. I like the Smarty and am getting a marked increase in mpg on #3 so I wil stay with it.

Yeah, the EZ was one of the original boxes for the 24v. It handled all the fueling through the data link plug and did boost fooling by clipping the signal from the MAP. Then Smarty came on the scene with the updated programming going directly into the ECU and provided a greater degree of control than what the EZ was capable of. The EZ was still a good entry point box, but the Smarty had more options (for more money). Still running my Smarty today.
I have an Edge Comp stacked with my Smarty. I haven't tapped the pump wire with my new VP44, so my Comp is effectively just an EZ.
What I've found is that the injection timing advance gets pretty darn aggressive, and it'll smoke badly with moderate to high throttle levels at low rpms. However, at highway cruise I get better mileage with them stacked, vs. turning off the Comp. I do turn off the Comp if I'm hauling or towing anything. I'm pretty happy having the combo.

What setting is the Comp on and which level in the Smarty?
Since the Edge box is just adding more timing over what it sees as stock, I wonder if it pushes beyond what the Smarty has already added. Not sure how it goes about adding the timing.

I had a catcher then a smarty. I had the smarty stacked with my Juice with attitude for sure I cant remember if I stacked it with an ez or not. However I don't why you couldn't stack either just have to use the no added timing options on the smarty cant remember if those were the odd or even numbered settings. However as someone suggested stacking an ez is kind of mute, the smarty will take care of its functionality..

The Comp definitely just adds more timing to whatever is there.
I have had the Edge EZ for some 15 years on my 99 2500 4X4. Recently acquired a 99 3500 2 wheel drive, moved the EZ to it and added the Smarty. Still playing with settings and seeking suggestions. For daily driving around town, I'm on # 1 Smarty and # 1 EZ. Getting 20-22 mpg. Just did a 2000 mile trip hauling a 5000 pound trailer. EZ on setting # 2 and Smarty on # 4. got 15 mpg averaging 70 mph. It would be nice to hear other peoples experiences.
