To smoke or not to smoke?

OK guys right now i got the starwheel all the way over and a straight pipe with a 0 plate it puts out some serious smoke so much that if you get on it from a low rpm when you look back you can NOT see the vehicles behind you. It is fun to do this but i got to thinking maybe it is dangerous to others (Visual) so am thinking of turning the smoke down by adjusting the starwheel back.. My question is will i lose power by doing this????
Thanks
Ian

Re:To smoke or not to smoke?

I wouldn't say so because the smoke is mainly unburnt fuel.

You only change how soon the power comes on. Around 10 clicks or so from where it bottoms out is,I think, about where the smoke is a bit less. I did mine like doing a gasser's valves: tighten a rocker 'til you cant spin the pushrod...similar way. I tightened the star wheel 'til the spring it has tension on is snug. [eyecrazy] Confused? OK, go back on the star wheel 'til you get the amount of smoke you can live with. Try to go about 4-5 clicks at a time between test drives.
