Smoke
Smoke
Whats the best chip/programmer to make black smoke? I got a 99 and lookin to buy something but I want smoke. I got an edge ez now and I tried a smarty but that wasnt nothin without bigger injectors so any advise is great
take and buy HUGE injectors like 200hp and go for it also kiss ur engine goodbye i have a few contacts for cummins incase you need to find a new engine.. Smoke is what little kids want cause they dont know how to properly equal out their fuel to air or they have so much power that the turbo hasnt caught up to clear up the smoke.
Around here smokin out people and seein who has the fastest truck is what its all about. I dont know alot about diesel but I know fuel and air have to be equal or its gonna tear some stuff up. I know theres a lot of people on here whose truck will smoke.

Fast trucks that smoke are ok. Fast trucks that don't smoke are excellent. Slow trucks that smoke just make everybody look bad. Build it for clean power, and you'll get a lot more respect in the community.
don't bother trying to smoke anything until you cut a big hole in your bed and run like a 10" stack, or twin stacks would be better
then use infidels heafty sack idea and cover that filter up

$$$$$$$ build for power NOT smoke!!!!! Ya sure it might seem cool to you and your buddy's to black out a road filled with rice burners or what have you, but you are hurting our sport and image by doing that. The track is the only spot to blow smoke and for the last couple years the sport is trying to go clean and less smoke is better!!
Do lots of reading and research on this site and you can learn all you can about your truck and what works best with your year model. And why you add thing! Until you get a new found respect for our sport, I am sure you will still just go for smoke and brake lots of things no matter what we say. Power is what you should be after and the rest will follow.
If you still want smoke and don't like the bag over air filter idea, try taking an intercooler boot off
when your done * and have a real question let us know and we won't be so harsh but your messing with our beloved sport.

Ok I'm glad you said that "you don't know a lot about diesel", but your next statement is a little off for what you want, when you have a lot of smoke then your air/fuel ratio is way off. Black smoke is unburned fuel. The reason it didn't burn is because it didn't have enough air to do so. Now look at your statement, pay close attention to were you said if the ratio is off you brake things!!! Yes you see lots of other trucks with smoke that was build right and that's because of turbo lag, when you have a turbo that is big enough to clean up heavy amouts of fuel, it takes a bit for it to spool. Now for your last bits of wisdom, yes we have trucks that can eclipes the sun if need for a large solar flare but we try to keep it to the track and not on the street. Just cause you can, don't mean you should!! Food for thought.

Maybe you should be more aware of the bad image that you are giving us, just because your 17 doesn't mean that you should go around blowing smoke. You and people like you are part of the reason why new diesels have such strict emissions on them.
Do you or your * friends have gauges to even see your pyro temp while blowing smoke?? Things get hot real fast and can cause big problems.
