Should I try a TST instead of my Drag Comp?

I'm thinking of trying a TST stacked with my Smarty instead of my Drag Comp. Will I gain anything? Which TST is the one to have? Comp? How do the combos compare between Smarty/TST and Smarty Comp? Thanks.

kinda all depends on what your truck likes. some people have made their most power with just a DRAG comp, some with the comp smarty stack and some with the TST stack. i am one of those who is always up for new things so i say give it a try. if you dont like it then go back to what you were.

Honestly the dyno may not show a gain with smarty + drag comp over your previous results, but I bet your sop meter is reading something.

Tiger Rag's got all three on his eth, you might want to read through some of his posts on the subject. Last time he posted results smarty + comp was strongest on the rollers, but I beleive some updates are in order now that he's got his connections straightened out *cough*cough* *twists arm*

Don't pay me any mind when ya read this TR =P

I personally love my Drag Comp and when it's stacked with the Smarty it gets even better. Guys that run the TST really love those to so it's kinda down to whatever floats your boat. I know from personal expericen that the TST isn't as smooth fueling as the Drag so the daily driving thing is kinda iffy.

I did the comp/smarty stack and now run the TST/Smarty stack. Can't speak on if the TST stack gave me more cause I never could get on the dyno with the comp stack but the SOP meter says the TST definately works better on mine.

With an HO, I would save your money. Your not going to get the subtle increase in power that many speak of from the TST.
That being said, I do prefer the Smarty timing (odd # settings) to the Edge timing.

I noticed a big jump in power going from the Drag Comp to the TST/Smarty on my H.O.

You better check this tread before getting rid of your Comp. Read post #4.
https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=107521

The most powerful combination my well be a TST/EZ stack. For low end throttle response nothing beats the Smarty.

In Nov, i will be heading to the dyno to compare the Edge drag box vs the Edge drag box (EZ Mode) stacked with the TST Comp Box. Which ever yeilds the better numbers will be the route that i will choose to run, if the Edge box yeilds better numbers alone, then i will be selling the TST Comp box, if it does not, i will keep the Edge box stacked with the TST.

how could you say the combo with the TST/EZ stack is the most powerfull when Tim in post #4 that you told us to look at said he made the MOST POWER with the DRAG comp alone?

Read post #8 on the same thread. The old Power Edge was very simular to the TST.

i subtract my previous statement sorry guys guess i let myself jump to conslusions. well for my truck the best combo i have, well SOP feel is all three stacked. i run the smarty on #8 for low end fueling, have the comp in EZ mode for upper end timing and the TST for all out power. makes a dedly combo on my truck but then again if i took it to a dyno, it could be like said in post #4 on that tread. i could be making more power with just my DRAG comp alone but my SOP feel says the 3stack is the best.
