well i just posted an ad for my stuff and i am just wondering. will the Mach5 injectors run cleaner and mabey a little lower egts than what i have now? i have the BD XXXX buhda injectors rated at 170hp. they are pretty clean but with my setup, with injectors alone i am able to still get to 1250 with no boxes on. just wondering if the 5s will run cooler, and if not then would the 4s? not going to go to twins after all so trying to find a happy medium in between daily driver and race truck. if i go to a mach4, i will definetly add some spray to make up for what i might loose although the mach4s might actually make more power than what i got now. what do you guys recommend?

ive herd the 6's are cleaner and cooler than the 5's. well the old 5's anyways. i dont know if don's improved the 5's or not...

I have Mach 4.5 and can hit 1200+ without my TST, I highly doubt the 5's will be any better. I hit 1550 at the end of the 1/4, maybe with the 14 cm you would be a touch cooler.

what are your crusing egts? right now i cruise at 900 to 1000 and hit 1250 with just injectors. peg 1600 in 2 sec with TST comp and DRAG comp(ez). wonder how the plain mach4s would do compared to what i have now. what hp are mach4.5s?

one last thing, do you have the regular TST or the Comp?

I have the regular TST haven't gone for the upgrade yet. Cruise EGTs are about 850-950 running empty up a slight grade. Flat ground I'm around 650-750. I have a 12 cm housing so that might be some of the difference. The 4.5 are rated 170hp if I remember correctly.

Mach 4s are a solid 150hp injector. RJohnson is pushing some great HP with Mach 4s and twins.

yeah i am really thinkin about the mach4s. and if that still is not good enough, then i will add the spray. but i know that they SHOULD run cooler than what i have now and i no they will be cleaner and like you said, a SOLID 150hp so i think thats what i am going to do

What setting do you run your tst at? 1250 with injectors is ideal- box off no egts to worry about. Then turn your box up to a level where egts remain managable. My egts are simular to Mike's with my mach 4's, but I don't run around with the tst comp on 9 either.

i run with everything off and still get that hot. i want to be able to tow my SINGLE jetski to the lake and right now i cant even do that. but your right, empty i have nothing to worry bout, but soon as i put 1000k pounds behind it, i do and thats the only reason for doin this. i bet the Mach4 make more hp that what i have now and will run cleaner and cooler.
