Road Armor Review

For anyone interested!
My Aluminum UTE Bullbar got totalled when a Dodge Durango shot through an intersection and hit my right front femder. DId it's job though. $6,000 damage for me and a totalled 2010 Durango.

Since the Utes are no longer imported to the US, I went looking for a replacement. Settled on Road Armor for price AND quality. My other prefered make was Buckstop.... but there price was much higher and there was a 5 week delivery delay??

Road Armor is a quality company to deal with. Excellent customer service and follow up. The bumper itself is better quality than I expected, the fit was easy and perfect and the powder coating is the best I have ever seen!

Still miss my UTE but this Road Armor is growing on me. Mine is their winch bumper with the pre-runner bar, but they also come without.

I would recommend the Road Armor to anyone looking for that extra protection over the less than inpressive factory bumpers.

Thanks Guys!
I see very few around N. Texas, but the trucker that delivered it said he brings lots up here??
Guess I need to get out more.

Anybody else see these Road Armor Bumpers around their area??

Like I said...I need to get out more!
What IS a "Rig Rocket"?

And I did a search. Found a thread - "Show us your front Bumper".
Only three Road Armors out of 65 posts. (One is that Royal Blue 'Titan' monster up your way).

I know they use to be the 'high priced spread" but I got a great discount just by asking??
(asked if I could still get in on a Group Buy from 4 yrs ago on TDR; haven't been a member since 2006).

lol....a "rig rocket" is a tricked out, lifted, bombed truck that guys who make big money in the oil patch drive. They typically work out on drilling rigs.

That would have been my first guess, but lots of oil here too but most "Roughnecks" around here all leave their nice rigs at home!

Looks good on there.. The black goes well with the trucks colour.

Rig rockets, yes there are many around here. Close to me about 80% Frod.. All lifted. My poor little rigs get lost in the parking lot.

Thanks, That is the one reason it is growing on me.
Actually looks better, IMO, than the polished Aluminum UTE against my dirt brown truck!

Just can't see getting back into truck payments when the economy is as is!
Truth be told, I still love this CTD! Twins, H-2 Cam, Mach 6's, DTT and a Smarty..... I figure I'm down to around 450 hp. Drives like a dream on the street and pulls anything I ask it to! Just can't seem to let it go!

With Pre-Runner Bar.....$1500 delivered.
4 Warn 350F Fog Lts were $238.00. (great price on fog lights).
Two Shackles were $40.00.
So $1,778.00 Total, as pictured here. I did not attach the Road Armor name plate, and I put a painted 1/8" steel plate over the perferated logo on the bottom... for strength and looks.

I never could either!
First one - UTE - was bgt for 800.00 after an accident for which insurance was paying almost $1,000 towards a new factory bumper.
This one was paid for by the other guys insurance paying me $1,800. for my totalled UTE.

I have a deer infestation, and took full coverage off my 98 12v after I paid id off; I replaced that insurance with a good bumper, and nailed a big muley buck at 80mph- not a scratch on the dodge!! My wife ran into a guardrail- scratched the line-x on the bumper, but thats it! Yep, my new "full coverage" system is working good!!
