Ride rite airbags help

On my dually, putting airbags on it and got a couple of questions. Does the top of airbag bracket need to be level with the top of the frame? And do you basically just eyeball it to get it level and straight up and down? The frame is really curvy in that area and it is going to make drilling the holes a pain. Main thing though is knowin about if it has to be flush with top of frame. Got my be off, insure of clearance with bed.

When I did the bags on my pig I made sure the top and bottom of the bag seats were level with each other and square. You just don't want it doing the leaning tower of Pisa thing. Drilling the holes on curvy frame and bolting was interesting, especially on the driver side with the fuel tank there, lines and all manner of stuff.

Got my tank down right now too!!!! Took pump out and installing a draw straw v. So on the top of the bracket, does it stick out above the top of frame??

Mine was pretty level with the frame rails. Sold, so can't tell ya for sure. But I put mine in with the airbag at just a pound of air to give me a measurement for drilling the mounts. As long as the fitting on top don't hit the bed you should be good.

Not sure which brand you are using but for our kit 57215 we suggest mounting the upper bracket with 5-8" of "bag space" between the top of the upper bracket and the lower axle mount. If you look our instructions on page 7 you will see a diagram better explaining this. Also, as someone else mentioned your upper and lower mounts should be as parallel as possible. This will keep the bag in it's ideal orientation and not twisted.
