Quiet 4" exhaust
Quiet 4" exhaust
I've been reading some older posts on quiet 4" exhaust systems and I think that I've learned that you need to have a resonator and a muffler if you want to keep things quiet.
This begs the obvious question...
What about using just two mufflers?

That's what I did, got both at www.summitracing.com 4" exhaust and small muffler all for under $350.00
Quiet Exhaust
TXTad,
If you're looking for quiet systems watch the lower priced systems, most of them are a 5 inch muffler with a 4 inch inner pipe leaving a 1/2 inch for packing material to quiet the system. Plus they generally use a low temp fiberglas packing material that doesn't last very long and the systems tend to get louder over time.
We have a full 30 inch muffler and if you want it extra super quiet we have any extra resonator thats 18 inches long that can be mounted up front and REALLY makes it real quiet.
Call us if you have any questions etc.
