Quick Question
Quick Question
As I stated in a earlier post I am looking for a 24v truck.My question is,which ones are high output engines and which ones are not.Is it a year model thing?And do all 24v's have the same injector pump?
I think 01 was the first year for the HO engine, and only with the 6 speed trans. 245 HP and 505 ft/lb. The injector pump looks the same, but was modified internally to provide higher pressures.
Yep, 2001 was the first year for the HO/6spd...the only way to tell is the VIN, Option Code's (ETH,DEE---In Glovebox, maybe?) or the easiest way is whether or not it is a 6spd (the HO's only had 6spds).
The HO's had smaller barrels and plungers running at higher injection pressures and smaller injectors than the SO pump/injectors. (This is why HO's like big injectors, and SO's respond better to boxes
)
HTH,
Chris
