Here is my truck..


285's with 2 inch skyjacker lift. Tire measurements are 33 x 11.5 inch width, on a 16 x 8 rim... They are about the same size as the goodrich 285s in my pic..

Funny you should ask. I have an automatic...but just drove (for 2 days) an 01, 3.55, 5 speed with 315 BFG's on 10" wheels. With a little added HP they drive very well. This truck only had injectors (95 hp), with a stock straight piped exhaust. Showed 2000 rpm at 75 mph (corrected for tires). I was impressed. 5th gear sure is a lot shorter (lower) gear ratio than OD on an Auto ..... and the bigger tires must help a lot.

I'm guessing that the 315s with my 6-speed and 3.54s will be just about PERFECT for what I want. I don't tow, so I want a little taller gearing overall, and the roughly 10% taller gearing of 315s over 265s is just what I want.

What RPMs do you run at 60 mph in 6th? I ran a dead 2000 with stock rubber.

fact is I still do! not my speedo has never been re caliblrated I am running 37s now that measure about 35.5" on the truck and I think it only gained me 12-14 mph at 2000 in 6th
