I have recently been looking to up the power on my 03 Ram. I have the 235 HP Cal version with the 48RE tranny. I went on Bully Dog's website and saw a 4' exhaust system and RFI air filter system which I will probobly get. If i were to add one of those "plug in" sensors which gives you 70HP increase, will that be too much for my tranny? Thanks

 

If the stock 48RE can handle the HO's power (305 555), it can certainly handle the box.

 

I believe the 305HP/555 tourque is only for the 6speed. The auto versions are at 250 HP.

But the vehicle is still advertise with 305hp and 555lbs. the purpose of the new auto was to habdle all the power of the HO

 

MY STEPFATHER IS TAKING DELIVERY OF AN 03' NEXT WEEK...AUTO HO=305HP....HE HAD TO WAIT AWHILE TO ORDER IT!

 

HO/48re's have been available since january.

 

maybe so but their were none to test drive till about the end of february here in PA and good ol dodge is 8 weeks out on order right now

I stand corrected. I guess we are not used to stock HO diesels in California. I was going to go with the Bully Dog 4' exhaust and RFI air intake system. Can you suggest a good plug in module to use? Thanks for all the info...
