Performance Package Advice 94 3500 towing 8k lbs

Hi Guys
I plan on towing a 24' enclosed car hauler loaded it weights about 8k lbs. I am worried about power and high egts. The stock 160 I have now is a joke. I want around 300-350 reliable horses with safe egts. My truck is still bone stock I am waiting for a complete performance package that has been proven to work. Any suggestions? I am on a budget of 2500 dollars.
Thanks
Herb

$2500 isn't much of a budget. it will cost that much for a valve body and torque converter. foe a good upgrade i would go with 180dv's and 215 injectors they are stock parts out of a 96-98 12v and will make a noticable difference and can usually be picked up for $150. then get you an air intake and exhaust.

In that case get some gauges, some 191 delivery valves, a 100 plate, bump the timing to 16.5* and the intake and exhaust of your choice and you are good to go...

Check out my signature. If you know your transmission is good enough to hold it, then what I have is absolutely perfect for you. I dynoed 281/693 before the 181 Delivery Valves, and 215 injectors and expect to be around 320hp now. My EGT's are VERY manageable. You have to try pretty hard to get it over 1300*, and it pulls great. Here is what I suggest(or basically what I have listed in my sig)

-gauges
-A #10,#0, or #100 plate full forward(grind it yourself)
-Crank the starwheel a good ways(mine is as loose as you can get it)
-3k governor spring kit
-181 delivery valves(stock out of 96-98 5spds)
-16cm turbo housing
-215 injectors(stock out of 96-98 5spds)
-4 inch exhaust
-good intake(I have a $60 K&N cone)
-Advance your timing to 16 or 17 degrees(lowered my EGT's a LOT!)
-And tranny work(that you have done already if it will hold)

All this should cost no more than $1000-$1400, and should be exactly what you want. In my opinion 191 Delivery Valves will be a little too hot for what you want. But I am very happy with my trucks setup. TeddyBear on here can tell you about my EGT's, and how my truck runs. And like I said, my EGT's are great, and my boost is only 34 psi or so which your stock head gasket should have no problem with, and it also is pretty much at the top of the turbo's efficiency range. if you have anymore questions just ask or PM me.

Eric, I looked at my post knowing I had forgotten something. How could I have forgotten the GSK? It made a huge difference, evn on my big pump.

I had been told the the 191's were only marginally bigger than the 181's, was I told wrong?

haha. Yeah, the GSK made a huge difference for me. I love mine And on the 191's. You are right. They arent that much bigger(or that much more power), but they do raise EGT's pretty good over the 181's, so thats the only reason I reccomended against them for him.

I'm gonna guess the reason is you are getting your twins, and some lazer cuts Maybe the DDP injectors as well?
