Ordered new turbo

I ordered the new HTT Stainless 62/13 Turbo through Rip.

Anyone running one? So far, it is looking like I'm one of the first to get one.

I can't wait

I talked to Everett at HTT for about an hour regarding this turbo .... and he put me in contact w/ a couple people running this turbo and they all love it.

They have done allot to the turbo (says HTT) , they redesigned the entire exhaust housing to increase air flow allong with changing the materiel to control heat and not have it bleed off (Ie. SS vs Cast).

Let us know how you like it! i'm still on the fence between this and twins.

Do you mind giving a ballpark price on this thing? These sound like the next hot thing. How is it supposed to compare to a SPS62 or Silver62 from II? The 71 series HTT turbos are still quite a bit cheaper than the II versions, save for a plain jane phat shaft.

I'd rather you call Rip at Source for pricing. Nothing personal but everytime someone asks me for a price, I get a PM saying how they could of given me a better price.

i have been running one for a little while and i love it. it spools ostem and cooles like a 14. it looks sweet having the two polished housings. but im useing it in twins. and from what i have noticed it seems to move more air than just a 62, it spools super fast and helps create vacuum to spool my lower turbo.

Tate, let me know if you want to order a new HTT SS. We probably could get a better price if we brought 2 across the line!!

they are i believe like 200 more than the standard turbos. because of the stainless housing, and all of the redesigning, i almost got the ss15 i think that is what it is. but with a 64 on the intake side, maybe on the dyno it would show up but not noticable on the street. but ya man the turbo is really nice you will like it

Quit tempting me! On second thought, talk to me in a month or so. A new turbo would be sweet.

99globalwarmer, what are the specs on your k31?

the k31 is off at bullseye getting a 80mm inducer upgrade, i bought a mod'd s400 but the exhaust side isnt wastegated and i have to move around my exhaust to get it to fit. but anyways i bought the turbo off ebay, the 80mm wheel is titanium and the rear wheel is going to have some one off stuff.

it is a 1.24 ar exhaust, i hope the new turbo works out. it spools so fast i could pool with no problems even with a 64/14 on top. it would just lower my pressure from the bottom to top. k31 to 64/14 4 psi,k31 to htt62/13 6psi,
