261,000 miles and never checked the waste gate, do you thinks its time? Remedies on a stocker?

the best way I know to do that is to hook compressed air to the intake side of the turbo and watch the actuator for operation. The only other way to tell is to tear it down and if you are going that far you might as well rebuild. The kit is about $90 from high tech turbo. Download instructions from holeset.com

carefull with the air comp idea, , id buy a regulator so you can control it, dunno how much it would take, , just hate to see someone decide to takke there 130 psi tank and plug her in and watch her pop haha

well my experience is that the rubber coupling you use to hook up to the turbo will blow off at about 35psi so I can't see causing too much damage. hehe Use a pressure gauge like I did.

I'm just going to bleed my airtank to around 20 psi then check, that should make something happen.
