Oil pressure gauge for fuel pressure

Anyone used an oil pressure gauge for fuel pressure? Seems you can get a kit cheep and comes with 1/8 inch copper line. I never heard of a leaking oil pressure gauge even though the oil is hot.

Pressure is pressure, doesn't really matter what the gauge face says on it.

The main thing here is to use a gauge that is calibrated in a range that is about two times the normal operating pressure. My fuel pressure runs about 16# so I used a 0-30# gauge. If you use a 0-100# gauge it would be harder to read your exact pressure.

I paid $39 for my ISSPRO mechanical fuel pressure gauge. The tubing kit was $8 the steering column gauge mount was $29 and few dollars for a few brass fittings. Not expensive at all for how important it is to have.

What about a boost gauge? Well, I know it would work, but I guess what I'm asking is, would the seals in the boost gauge hold up to the fuel since it was made for air only?

I had one years ago leak on me (with the plastic tubing, I think I tightened it too much) in a hot rod with high volume pump, man did it make a mess to clean up....was enough for me.
