I am about to order my boost and egt gauges, along with a 4" exhaust system. The gauges are Isspro EV's and the exhaust system is an aluminized steel system from Motoblue.
So, here are the questions:
1. Has anybody used the Motoblue system. Pros or Cons?
2. Those of you that have the A-Pillar gauge holders, How visible as you sit in the drivers seat are they? Old eyes can have trouble making out the numbers, etc.
My plan is to bomb to pull my 5th wheel up 6% grades without haveing to be in 3rd gear, 2500rpm and 40 miles per hour.
After the gauges, exhaust system; what then?

Welcome to DTR, things I didn't see in your list that would help pulling substantially are a 3k gsk to help broaden the powerband, and some sort of an intake. Perhaps a BHAF (big honkin air filter) or a Scotty system.
Some more indepth things you could do, clutch allowing, is either get a different fuel plate or slide the stock one forward a bit, adjust your timing to a number a little advanced over stock, and if you want a little more umph still up the injectors to 215s or 370s.

How much of the more in-depth things can the stock clutch handle?
I had planned on the BHAF after digesting the first things, but I haven't figured out if I want to try to fabricate a filter holder that utilizes the fender well opening(stock position) yet or not.

I'm not certain at what point it can't take any more, odds are with bigger injectors, modified plate, and advanced timing it'd be slipping a little bit (depending on plate position). But to get the extra pulling power to hit a mountain like that it'd be kind of hard to do on a stock clutch. Probably best way would be to modify it and use the fuel plate to hold the motor back if the clutch can't handle it, at least that could be done until you got a stronger clutch.
I think the air filter is more important than the exhaust in that it has to be able to enter the system before being concerned of it leaving. Even without a heatshield it will lower your EGTs a little bit, a heathshield may help drop a little more but I wouldn't count on much.

I'm also considering a mild HP increase. I spoke with Rip Rook at Source Automotive regarding his stage one injectors. My main concern was the increased fuel mileage these injectors suppose to give along with modest HP gains. Don't have to be concerned with any tranny upgrade with the stage ones by themselves.
How much power do the stage one injectors add? Keep in mind that kind of stuff is for 24Vers, the 12V trucks only have a few selections for injectors.
Did I mention the 3k gsk is on sale at Piers right now? It also shouldn't harm the clutch since it is just making a broader powerband.

My stock clutch held with a 10 plate in the factory spot ( I do not tow) but with it slid full forward it would slip in 4th and 5th. I would say it was good for about 330 hp. at the flywheel if you tow heavy its allmost maxed out at like 250 hp.
I have the moto blue exhaust on my pickup. It's been on for about 15,000 miles and I haven't had a problem yet. You will have to trim some pipe so a chop saw will be hand. It does come with enough pipe to straight pipe if you want.
As for the guages on the a pillar. After a while all you'll need to do is take a quick glance and you'll know where your at.

Get a BHAF. Go to your local parts store and get whichever of the following filters they have available to them. Try the WIX first.
