Max Mileage Module

I drove 373 miles this week using bio-diesel, the usual running around picking up parts and shop supplies, to and from town from my house 10 miles out. Pulled a heavy trailer about 50 miles, longest trip was not over 30 miles one way, and did that only once.
Hand calculated 20.3 MPG
Without the module it would have been in the 18 mpg range on a good week.

I am running to Houston Sunday pulling a loaded trailer so we will see how that goes, I normally only get 12 mpg on that trip loaded and 15-16 coming back empty, I'll post what if any improvement it does when I get back.

I went in to Ft Worth tonight, what my fuel gauge and odometer are telling me is good. I will have some good figures to post Monday night.
I am pulling a 25' goose neck trailer with what best can be described as a sold wall 8' wide and almost 8' tall blocking the wind. The old truck is running very smooth and the temperature gauge is normal, usually it cheaps up pretty high and I have to slow down to 65 for her to go down close to the normal 180 degree range.

This can't be right!!!!!

I've been running the XZT+ in the center (max mileage) postion and seeing a little gain in mileage. Just enough that I'm glad I bought the it.
Someone on another web-site said they were actually getting better mileage in the in the max power mode so I gave it a try. I haven't run a full tank yet and want to verify my readings. I'm using a Scangauge II that plugs into the OBD and reads the ECU to give fuel use, mileage, RPM, etc.. If the Scangauge II is even close..mileage is "MUCH" better in the power setting vs max mileage setting.
Has anyone else checked mileage while running in the power mode (you know..were it gives an extra 60hp). I'm guessing that the XZT+ might be fooling my Scangauge but when I refill I'll check it with pen & paper.

I've read the same thing but I can't seem to keep my foot out of it. I've been running in timing only and noticed a 1mpg gain (kind of disappointing). My trans is all but shot and will slip like no ones business until lock up so I hope with my new HTS tranny (installing next week) my mileage will increase. Right now the best I've seen is 19.25 and that was running 60mph for 30miles for my commute. When I got the truck I could steadily pump out 20-21mpg.

275 injectors / MAX milage

I had a injector rebuilder tell me that the Cummins injectors were good for 200,000 miles and then it would probably pay to change them out.
I put the 275's in at about 220,000 and it smoked less and I could tell she ran noticeably better only thing I don't understand is I didn't gain appreciable any fuel mileage.

Now my MAX mileage report---
First tank 12.2 MPG --- loaded
Second tank 11.5 MPG --- loaded
3RD tank 16.2 MPG --- After dropping off load and
pulling 25' gooseneck trailer home.

Looks to me like the MAX doesn't help pulling a heavy load but pulling a empty trailer and during normal driving there is a increase in fuel mileage

I am curious as to how much gain I will see on a long distance road trip, bet it will be 10% or more.

Well, I'll still continue to patiently wait for more results. Still examining other options as well

I have a XZT+ and I get better mileage in the perf. setting. I hardly tell a difference between off and the mileage settings. Look at it this way, if you get the max mileage you can always upgrade it to the XZT+ later on!
