new sprung hub sbc

So who's running them? How is the shifting? Any problems getting into gear from a stop?

My buddy Big Smoky is getting his in friday and we are installing it next week. He's getting the 3600. I'm sure he'll let you know how it goes as it will definately be tested to it's abilities.

I have a 3600 12CB going in this afternoon. I'm a bit nervous about how it is going to shift. It is a big hunk of stuff, but I have been told that it will shift fine(my 5600/FE shifts beautifully).

Yep, mine's going in next week, and I can't wait to see what it'll do and how it dirves! It's a 3600. I'll let you know how it goes. I'll for sure test it out!

I'm running the sbc 3600 12 button, all in all it holds well. Its a little jumpy on the take offs in second w/o giving any throttle. Its hard to shift into reverse from a stop, most of the time I have to shift into second then go to reverse, that is the only down side that I have noticed. Peddle pressure is a fair amount more, I have gotten used to it until I drove a stock 96, felt like I was pushing in a clutch on a 4cyl. It works great with the twins, just give it some throttle and ease the clutch out until the twins light and hang on.

Is the hydraulic upgrade just the hydraulics out of a 97?

I just installed the 3250 DD with sprung hub....awesome clutch! It feels like a stock pedal with the SB hydraulics. I was really impressed with how smooth it is & really quiet for a DD. The hydraulics are worth the money.

Maybe, when I ordered the clutch I bought it from Peter at SBC, and he said with my 97, no hyd. upgrades were needed for the DD.
