New to site want advice on fuel adjustments
I am a new member but I have been reading this site for awhile now.
I just installed a 3000 GSK in my truck. I also have a TST plate #6 and afc spring kit. I am fairly familliar with the adjustment points on the afc but would appreciate any pointers on tuning this setup. Plate slid forward and housing forward starwheel all the way in. Thanks |
Kenny, welcome to the site. I'm going to move this to an area that might see a little more traffic so you can get an answer a little faster.

afc arms limits low end fueling, If it spools faster by easying into the throttle than matting it then start to slid the afc back. The gov arm hits the afc under low boost and limits the rack travel, Turning the starwheel towards the moter makes the spring looser meaing the afc foot goes foward more quickly making the gov arm hit the plate sooner.

Here is some reading for you to look at on the pump and afc.

Thanks for the info. The truck seems to do great on intial acceleration but seems to be overloading on fuel at high speeds. Governer arm seems right no surges. Any ideas for adjustments.

What kind of boost are you running? The high end fuel is due to the #6 profile.
|
Im not sure what the boost is. I dont have any guages yet. What should the boost be to offset the extra fuel. Would it help to slide the #6 plate backward
