Need input on some guages

Hello everyone,

I am currently beginning to mod my truck and decided its time for some gauges. I've got my eye on a set of ISSPRO EV gauges from vulcan performance but I have some questions on the fuel pressure gauge. They advertise the kit including pyro, boost, fuel pressure, and a a pillar for 259.99 but I'm not sure how the fuel pressure hooks up on a 12V. Is there something special you have to do to get the fuel pressure gauge to work properly on a 12V? Here is the link to the setup I'm looking at...

1/8npt tapped into a 12mm banjo bolt to go into the fuel filter outlet http://www.vulcanperformance.com/ser...jo-Bolt/Detail thats what i used

Make sure that you get a gauge with a higher range than the 98+ trucks, you will need a 60 psi gauge.

I'm gonna use a needle valve instead of an isolator when I do mine.

Fuel pressure gauge won't work out to well on a 12valver. Due to the fuel sytem it will be very jumpy/notchy and not hold steady.

That's the reason for the needle valve. Just barely crack it. Lots of guys run them on 12v trucks.

I have the same kit in my truck. The FP gauge only goes up to 30psi by the way.

Thanks for the help with the needle valve...Anybody have any suggestions on a good place to buy a gauge kit with a 60lb boost, pyro, and 60lb fuel? Or if not that then just a 60lb boost and pyro kit

I'd call Vulcan and see if they can put the appropriate gauge and take the isolator out...

I went to Jegs and got a 30 psi Jegs fp gauge for my truck. It does great, and the gauge itself was only $18, it's only 1.5" in diameter compared to 2" like most, but they do have them up to 60 psi. Only thing is they are not lighted. I got mine and put a banjo bolt off the vp44 and route it through a ball valve and up into the cab with a few 1/8 NPT fittings, tubing, and thread sealant from the local hardware store. Works great for my needs. i'm going to wire a little LED above it in the dash to shine onto the gauge to light it up at night, but for a total of maybe $50 into the whole thing and $15 of it was the 1/8" ball valve (ones that small are $$$$), I can't complain. Anything is better than nothing on a vp truck. Here's a pic of mine mounted.

Thanks for the help guys! I called Vulcan yesterday and they just so happened to have a 60lb fuel pressure gauge that they were willing to swap out for the same price on the kit. The guy I talked to also said that I didn't need a needle valve because he said they just came out with a new gauge line that had restricters in it to prevent the gauge from bouncing. So I assume the only extra piece I needed was a tapped banjo bolt. So far I'm impressed with Vulcan's customer service and hopefully all goes well
