NEED HELP WITH UPGRADES

Ok, I have a 97' 3500 4x4 long bed with extended cab, auto. I have a TST #11 plate, Afe intake, 4" ss Hog exhaust, and 45,000 miles on the engine. I have stayed with this combination for awhile, but now am going to a ATS triple lock tc, transmission, valve body, and commander. The stock trans was just not capabile of any more power (actually i couldn't use what I had), but now I can play alittle. The truck gets used for longer trips, and i pull a 36' gooseneck (12-13K lbs.). I woud like to keep the truck drivabile and don't want to race, pull or anything like that, just have alittle more power, and I really like eating fords on up hill runs. I was thinking of going to a 3k kit, 370 injectors, and maybe a 16 sq cm housing? what i'd like to know is your oppinions, and any suggestions. Thanks ;)

They 3k kit would do good for long hills. when you put the springs in put them a click or two past the stock ones. this will give you a few extra rpms to use on really steep hills. The 370's are good also. I say the PDR 370's are top notch. I like my set

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I know someone will!! [laugh]) but I think a 16cm turbo housing is a little much for what you've described for your application. Unless you're trying to push some serious air through the turbo, your stocker 12 should work fine for just a #11 plate (auto) and 370's. Sounds like you've got some breathing apparatus in place, so your EGT's should be fairly under control.

the 16 will not hurt. he really don't need it but if he gets into a long hard pull he might.
