Moog Track bars

I tried a Thuren track bar on my 01 4X4 2500 but it would not clear the differential, so, I am stuck with stock, or Moog.

Moog has a lifetime warranty. Has anyone tired one? How did it work?

I have one on my 96 12 valve and it has held up well, of course I have stock size tires as well so that is a plus for the MOOG to hold up.

If you are going oversize or changing lift height, then I would look for something better IMHO

Did you use the Thuren second gen bar? Or their 3rd gen with the conversion kit?

Just curious since I have done a third gen conversion and was looking into their adjustable 3rd gen bar.

I called them and ordered one for my 2nd gen truck. Not sure about all that, went with what Don suggested. It just wont fit most 2001 trucks because the differential wont clear!

A lot of guys go with a "Lukes Link" like the ones my buddy Eric at Vulcan Performance sells...Never used one myself simply because the stock trac bars hold up fairly well with stock tire sizes and I don't run bigger tires.

I have had a Moog tracbar now for 6 years and its held up perfectly, and I run larger tires and pull heavy loads

The newer trac bars from Moog have heavier joints in them and tend to last longer.

I would suggest the 03TBK myself from Solid Steel. No problems with dif cover clearance with that one.

I have a Lukes on mine, been happy with it for about four years now. One thing if you do get a moog, later on you can't use a Lukes link on it.

On my 2nd Moog now. The 1st one lasted 100K and the 2nd one was replaced under warranty. I took it to the shop and they only charged me $40 for labor and $60 for an alignment...which I would have to have anyway even if I did the work myself.

I was curious also why it didn't clear the differential? is it a 2nd gen trackbar or the 3rd gen trackbar with a conversion bracket.....i've got the thuren 3rd gen trackbar with a SSI conversion bracket & it clears the differential fine....

If you look at Thuren site, there is a note below the track bar for 2001 trucks that says some of the truck will not clear.

According to Don, most DON'T.

The knuckle that holds the ball joint that attaches to the body on the right side hits the front of the differential.
Evidently, most of the trucks had the differential located a little further forward so it causes clearance problems with track bars with bigger hardware aroud the ball joint.
