Question How to make cheep power from my 24v :Cummins:

I Just bought a 1998.5 24v quad cab long box 300000 mile stock maintained fleet truck. My first (First diesel truck) and have done a Muffler delete silencer ring removal and 4" pod filter on the stock intake pipe. How do i make cheep power Boost elbow, boost fooler ,chip? I know a 12v is grind this , plug that , and slide this and boom POWER! Can i achieve the same results with a 24v and how?

The 24V is more like buy a chip, plug it in, boom POWER!

I would budget in a boost and pyro gauge in as well to keep track of this new found power.

Is the truck an auto or manual?

I would add a transmission temp sensor to your shopping list as well to keep an eye on the transmission for reliability sake.

Get a fuel pressure gauge to monitor the lift pump and health of the VP44 injector pump. On the 98.5 there is a couple ports on top of the fuel filter that can be used to get a reading.

I'd get some ear protection. The 24v's are the loudest engines in the Dodge fleet.
Straight pipe it and wow.Loud.
I had an Edge EZ on my 98.5 and it was plenty quick.

“Cheep” power will get expensive real quick.

An Edge EZ won’t even get you to 300 HP.
Get a Quadzilla Adrenaline and you’ll be able to fuel and time it exactly how you want.
Next best, but it’s a very distant second, would be an Edge Comp, but all that can do is a few preset “canned” tunes. makes no sense to buy that.
