Mild to Wild.........
Mild to Wild.........
What would you consider mild or wild? I'm thinking about getting a #10 plate, intake and exhaust w/ 4" down pipe. Would this be considered mild or wild? Also will this kill my auto tranny? Remember that i'm not making a race truck just something that will shock a few people and pull around my car with more power.
Yo brockdieseldude, lets get some pics of that rig! But to answer the first question Mild. Mine is basically what your doing and its not THAT fantastic, don't get me wrong its pretty good but not wild.
. But what all do you have done? My engine thats in it right now is pretty stock just injectors pump and turbo but it runs great. The big engine should be crazy, just killing the check book. Ha ha. But for smokeum99ta don't you think that a #6 would be more than the trans would like?

i think wild is 450 rwhp or more, but then again my progression has grown, as my standard for wild...
U can use the stock airbox and exhaust for a simple ten plate. But as stated gauges are of the utmost importance right now

So do you think a ten plate, intake and exhaust will kill my tranny or will I be safe for awhile? And yes guages are on the way. They will be purchased before anything else just need to get my car out of the chassis shop first. Buying gauges first kinda makes me feel like i'm a ricer but if they are the most important then i'm getting them.
ur driving a dodge cummins turbo diesel....lol, ur not driving a honda civic with aftermarket gauge's to look like you mean business with that turbo kit you bought off ebay for ur honda vortec
lol, jk

Buying gauges first means you care about your investment. A 200 dollar pyro can prevent you from having to purchace a 3000 dollar long block.
Your tranny will only hate you if you use all of the available fuel from the mods you're considering
The last link in the chain that holds broken parts together is your right foot

A lot of that is up to the driver. I still have my stock clutch. Have put 40k on it with the setup in my sig. Lots of light towing, lots of backing my trailer up. The clutch is fine. But I could also destroy it tonight, if I abused it. But I don't have the money to do my clutch and tranny yet, so I am being nice, making it last...
yeah, from personal expereince i can tell you that a stock trans. will not like a #6 plate. mine will shudder the torque converter without much effort from my right foot. this spring i am going to get a HTS tranny, so i should actually be able to add even more power, and actually get to see what it feels like.
