Mcloed street clutch

I want more info on this clutch. Is that even how you spell it? I need to know how quick it shifts and how much torque it holds. I drag race my truck so I am just wondering if this clutch is compatible. I don't care about noises, I just need to hold the dang powa!

Re:Mcloed street clutch

I've ran a McCleod street clutch in front of a NV4500 with no issues. Less pedal pressure then stock, smooth, will hold ~500hp ~1000lbs torque. I had no noise but some have with a NV5600. I don't drag race (ran at Muncie last year with a Mitchell dual disc, NV5600) but the McCleod released well for normal driving. IMHO the McCleod is a great street clutch, trailer tower, should work well for drag racing, but is very marginal for sled pulling. I DO NOT recommend it for sled pulling! Larry

Re:Mcloed street clutch

I just found this post. I installed the Mcleod about a month and a half ago. So far I really like it. Engagement is smooth and little or no reverse chatter. I bought mine set up by Haisley Machine so I didn't have to mess with all the shim work. I can shift as fast as my previous Centerforce and stock clutches. I can't speak for sled pulling, I guess I'll find out this summer Finally, I like the idea of the machined SFI approved steel flywheel that came with the package. Roger, did you pull with this clutch? If so, what was your impression of it?

Re:Mcloed street clutch

I really like my Mitchell Clutch but I have heard mixed reviews of the Haisley Clutch
