Max boost with Van Aaken box?

I've got a Van Aaken box on an otherwise stock '00. I was happy with the performance but decided to install a boost elbow to see if I would like the added boost even more. Well, even with the elbow adjusted to provide max boost I still can't get more than ~21psi. Is this normal for the Van Aaken box or could I have a bad box or bad connection between the MAP sensor boost fooler?

I got 32 psi with my Van Aaken , but I also have RV275
injectors. You may need larger injectors to get the higher
boost numbers.

So what could be the problem? The box not fooling the MAP sensor? I'm not sure where to start.

Is it a R style or v5? Some of the old R boxes didn't have boost fooling. When I had mine hooked up, I was seeing about 30psi. I also could not get over 1000* pre turbo unloaded. What are your egt's and fuel pressure?

I have the newer version. My egts are about where they were stock and the fuel pressure never drops below 9-10 psi.

Should be able to get about 30 psi max with the V5 and stock injectors if you really run the crap out of it. That's with the waste gate blocked off. With the 1.6's I can hit 32 psi almost immediately, that's where my elbow is set.

Found the problem. The elbow was set for stock boost, not max boost like the instructions that came with it said.
