Mach 1.6 first impression.

Ok I swapped from the ddp stage 2 to the mach 1.6s in hopes that i will be able to clear out some of the smoke the ddps make and WOW the mach 1.6s make almost no smoke at all. I am very impressed with the 1.6s my truck has never ran so strong and so clean, also I lost 50 degrees on my egt. I can actually turn my edge on now without smoking out everyone behind me. By the way I had all the ddp injectors checked out I thought that something may be wrong with them as bad as my truck was smoking and they all checked out good so I guess thats just the nature of the beast. That really makes me wonder about the quality of the DDP's now that i have the mach's. The only thing i cant figure out is the mach's have a little off rythem or lope at idle, i have done my research and replaced all the crossover tubes and o-rings, also pulled and checked injectors and checked the hole where the tube seats for nicks and all looked great. I also made sure the tubes seated well when i put them in and checked for air leaks all over including the return line T and banjo bolt at the rear of the head. I have heard some people say the lope is normal and some say its not so I would apperciate any input.

I had Mach 1.6's and an EZ on my '98.5. Smoke at sea level was minimal unless I gunned it. I had a DTT upgrade with an 89% tc which was the equivalent of direct drive. My idle was smooth, but would lope a bit for a short while after pulling off of the freeway. Prior to that I had Diesel Dynamic's DD2's and couldn't tell the difference other than wallet lightening.

I ran 1.6s for the last year and loved them no smoke and good power the lope is normal but even better is the service from Don cant beat it! I just installed 4s in this weekend and wow pulls like a train and smokes like one when you stand on it. Can't wait to install a bigger turbo to see when they can really do ...

No surprise here! I have been a firm believer in you get what you pay for from all of Don's stuff!
Mach 1.6's on a factory setup are probably the best all around injector on the market!
If willing to add some air....the Mach 4's just can not be beat!

Good luck with you new (feeling) truck!

Congrats on the 1.6's.
Ive been debating between 1.6 and 4's for almost a year now. Just worried the 4's would be too hot for around town towin.

Hey Joe Diesel, Are you runnin your stock HX-35 right now? How your EGT's with the new Mach 4's? Tow with em any?

I got an HY and the EGTs are in check, i dont tow only dyno 2-3 times a year, when i mash the go pedal egts go up fast but when i let up they go down just as fast gatta say MACHs are great, cant wait to add a 62/71 and see what they can really do ...

Oh my bad, thought I saw you had a manual, got mixed up with a dif sig.
Well heck, if you run pretty good with an HY I think my super B should keep up pretty well, even for towin, Thanks!

Another M1.6 convert
I love mine. Towing, not towing - smooth and nice, and make a difference without a chip for towing, which is how I run mine (at high elevations I live at).
Lope sounds strange, mine don't not do that. My 275s did, I didn't like them.
Good luck!

I just put in Mach 3's this past weekend and love them!
The DD2's i had didn't make half the power of these.
The power is right there off idle and i can either smoke like a freight train or drive with no smoke. Waiting to put on my 35/40 this weekend.
