Lookin' for a tranny shop...Little help?

Getting ready to order a tranny from Dave Goerend . Need to find a good shop somewhere in MD/DE/VA (anywhere east of Charlottesville) area to put it in for me. Don't want to take a chance getting it messed up or have to keep going back for stuff, need some recomendations on shops from folks who've had it done. Dave has a list of certified tranny shops, but none that he's dealt with.

Thought about driving out to Iowa to his shop, but 1100 miles is a ride and I'd like to have it done closer to the house if I can. Thanks guys.

Call or Email Dave.
He'll let you know if he already knows of a shop that he has dealt with before, or he'll call around and find one himself.

Only reputable place I know even remotely close to you is a place called Pro-Trans up in Bear, DE.

Good Luck.

This close enough? Never dealt with them, but have never heard a bad word about them either.

I think Tim used to deal with Goerend transmissions. He may still be interested in doing a Goerend and may still have a relationship there, dunno, but I'd check him out. McMopar on here also deals in Goerend transmissions, but he is in Raleigh, NC.

performance solutions in Glen Burnie MD. The owner does allot of race cars and custom applications. It doesnt take a real wizard to put in a tranny. I did it on my garage floor. All the hard work is already done inside
