Question intercooler tubes

Does anyone make aftermarket intercooler tubes for 24v cummins? I see alot of companies make them for Ford P/S diesels but I have not seen them advertised for our trucks. Do they not need them? And it seems like not many people use the banks high flow ram intake plenum. Why is that ? does it not work as advertised? It would seem like a good idea. The more air in and out of these engines the better, right?

A couple of people have dyno'd with the banks high ram and then put the stock on and run again. Seems to be less HP with the banks high ram.

Not sure how true that is as I haven't seen it in person. But they are price for a new intake.

I figured the Banks Ram must be expensive since I have not seen a price listed for it anywhere. They all say "call for prices". I am suprised it doesnt work though it seems like the factory intake plenum would be a little restrictive.

So what about intercooler tubes? No one has ever seen or heard of a set that is designed to be more free flowing? Or is there no real benefit over the stock ones?

I don't know how you could improve much on the factory one's other than insulating them so they don't get heat soaked. They are pretty straight in and out so no restriction there. I guess you could put bigger ones on. Don't know why you would though. You could change them out to polished aluminum or chrome for looks.
