I don't know of anyone else that makes one other than ZZ Custom Fab and its very spendy. I have another head coming for my 24v and I plan on making my own aluminum intake similar to the zz one. I work in a machine shop and fab shop so it should be very doable.

We're supposed to be coming out with an individual-runner intake manifold conversion this year - 304SS, AFAIK...

Port-injected H2O for the big guns, plenum-jetted for the rest of us!

RyanB that is one nice looking intake, it never hurts to try some thing new. If people would only go off what others say nothing new would ever come out. With saying that, starting to build a full open intake fed by asingle 4" pipe, pic's should be poping up some time. built a big open plenum one for my truck, what a diffrence it made all around.

Thanks! The truck is all most back up and running and I will post more pics in a week or so once I am done working everything in. It is looking pretty cool under the hood right now and there should be some smoke comming out of that hood stack in a few days!

The new intake manifold is designed to increase the CTD's volumetric efficiency; not only will it flow more quality boost, but the engine will run cooler, cleaner & stronger when you're not on top of the 'charger.

Here is an update on mine. I now have everything in an painted and just have to finish hooking up my water. Turned out pretty good and I am really happy with it so far.

What mods have to be done to the head to run these new manifolds??

I'm working on getting a head ported, o-ringed, a helix 2, and studs after blowing a head gasket, so I'm curious while I have everything apart!

Chris, the intake manifold portion of the head casting needs to be machined off, just as you would to allow proper intake side porting.

Aha...what do you have in mind for this manifold...plenum or runner style.

I don't think I have the time to machine the head...but I'll check with the guy doing the porting and see if he's ever don anything like that.

What kind of time frame are you looking at before you build one?

Might be something to look into if I ever have the need to do it again...but right now, my truck's down and I don't really have the time to wait...and the ZZ peice is SPENDY!

Thanks for the info, though!

XLR8R, have you considered just doing a head swap with whoever you sell it to, so they don't have to have their truck down while the machining is going on? And they don't have to bring the truck to your shop.
I'd hate to have to try to get my truck to TX and then have to wait for it (no offense).
