Installing trans line probe: buy the "Manifold" $40.00or complete Premade line? $80.0
I'am installing my NV autometer transmission gauge this week... I know the kit came with the adapters to install them in the transmission case..and like someone said..thats nice if you want to know the temperture of your "Case"..I want it installed in the 'out line' of the transmission-to the cooler..The question is..Its nice to bolt in the already made line for $80.00, or save $40.00 and get just the adapter manifold.. click link here:
http://www.dieselmanor.com/dm_products/DM-CLG2.asp MY question is : has anyone bought the "Manifold" $40.00 ,only and installed with without a hassel? click line here: http://www.dieselmanor.com/autometer/tmp-mnfld.asp 1.) Do you have to flare the transmission lines to the $40.00 manifold? 2.) hassel factor? 1-10 3.) Just spend the $$$ and get the $80.00 bolt in line ...thanks in advance...!! lol |
Geno's Garage and Vulcan (I think) have a T-fitting that goes in your hot line to hook up a temp gauge. It's about 10 bucks. I have it on mine, works just fine.
