Installing a BD Pressureloc

Ok, Im still undecided about buying a juice or not but will probably buy a pressureloc 1st since I dont know anything about tranny work and for sure couldnt install a VB. But perhaps I could do a pressurloc, but what all is involved in it? Thanks.

Save your money. A Pressure loc only works AFTER the truck shifts into OD. It only makes more line pressure after it recieves a signal locking the OD. A VB will make more line pressure all the time. That's what you need. If you can't do it have a shop do it, there is no shame in hiring work done that you cannot or choose not to do.

"The most powerfull tool you own is your check book."

Also, you'll need to consider a new TC if you are going to do a VB.

PS. Get a fuel pressure guage...tonight. ;)

Pressureloc actually engages with lockup signal, not overdrive signal. I would also recommend the valve body/torque converter upgrade, but only if your transmission has low miles and is in good shape.

Do a Valve Body instead. It will help way more than the pressure loc in every way. They are really not that hard to install either. If you can put in a pressure loc, you can probably do a Valve Body. Or like was said. Just hire it done if you have to. Big Blue was holding right at 400hp with just a valve body. You wont have that much, so a VB should do you fine until you do decide to install a better Torque Converter.

I think I will hold off on the VB and maybe get the juice, soon to be followed by the Vb, if the trans dont hold, I guess it'll be a Full tranny then, I dont want the juice for the horsepower, just the fuel pressure reading, [tapdshut]
