injectors
just got my injectors in the mail today and was wondering if you guys had and tips or things that you ran into that could cause me to start throwing tools. but anyway can't wait to get these things in, and thanks for all the help in advance.
well i did mine last weekend, other than being disapointed in the results,it wasnt to bad,#6 fuel line is apain to get at and the conector tube is hard to get out.some guys made a special tool to get the fuel line off.i used a short 19mm wrench,i tried cutting a small section out of a box end to fit over the line like a brake line tool but it just stretched.the fuel lines were tite like a mother###.also a good idea to put a blanket or somthing over the rad and stuff to prevent your knees from damaging the air cond fins.dodge should put a gaurd in front.also only take out the 8mm bolts in the front.use the valve cover bolt to remove the injectors, pull the conectors first though.i used a small flat blade to get them out, pretty easy.the valve cover itself is kinda apain to get out,i pulled all the bolts out and wiggled towards the drivers side and it came out after removing the lift bracket.anyway let us know how she goes and the performance gains.

When you put the injector back in I was given the following advise from the local shop to get them lined up properly.
1) Pull Back Fuel Tube and seat injector.
2) Put the top retaining cap on but DO NOT tighten
3) Push Fuel Tube Back in and connect fuel line.
4) Wiggle injector and Torque fuel line. This will center it
5) Tighten and Torque top injector retainer.
6) Loosen fuel line so that it can be bled.
I removed all of the bolts that hold the fuel lines so they had enough movement to slip back the fuel tube. The tube only needs to be pulled out about a 1/4" or so. I also used the 10mm bolt from the air horn to pull out the injectors. Finally make sure you lube the o-rings with oil before you install them.

Put some grease on the copper washer and the oring on the new sticks before you put them. That will help seat them, and keep the washer in place.
Get your self a swivel head ratchet and a 19mm crows foot. That will help with #5 and #6.
Don't forget the 30 ft/lbs torque for the high pressure lines is very critical.
Good luck.
