Industrial Injection Dragon Fly 12V Pump
 

Anyone here running one? If so how do you like it? Was it worth the money? Tell me about it please.

Neighbor runs the Dragon Fly injectors in his 98 12valve and likes them, They have lots of power but the smoke is insane not easily a daily driver, laser cuts and a II SP66 with 14 cmwg Housing also add to that, doesnt answer your question but the injectors are quailty.

Its hard to believe no one is running this pump

actually its hard to believe you paid who knows how much for a 913 pump that has been bench tuned, and given a special name.

I have $500 in my injection pump. (gov springs, full cut dv's, and flow bench work) it provided enough fuel to produce 621hp and made 460cc's of fuel

the pump is probably fine, but it's overpriced and nothing special. (stock p&b's , stock camshaft, ect...)

Actully I have not spent a Dime yet and thats why im asking the questions about the Pump they build. If its not worth it I dont want to do it But I cant seem to get mine to run right so I was willing to spend some money if Its worth it.

I have a friend that Works at industrial injection, and he's running that pump on his truck with dv's a silver bullet and dragon fly injectors and his truck rips. I guess you could say its a 913 with a special name but the way they flow test them and calibrate them is awesome. They dont just clean em up and call em somethin cool, Thier pumps are the best out there in my opinion. pm me if you want me to get you a good deal on one.

Talking to Brady at II, he says the Dragon Fly would be good for around 750hp or so. Seems like a decent setup for $1600. He said that the Dragon Flow will push a lot more, but isn't very streetable. He said in Valet mode, it might barely be streetable. My 215 pump is acting up, and I've got a 175 here, so I'm gonna trade my 175 for the D. Fly, and then get my 215 fixed so there will be little downtime. I wanted to trade it for the D. Flow pump, but if I can't drive it on the street easily, then I don't want it in the dodge.

lets talk numbers. what are the dragon flys producing?

I can have a 160 pump making 580-620cc's at 1000 strokes for about $500

a stock pump will make about 190cc's

my tuned 215 only made 460cc's and my truck makes 621hp and it wasn't clearing the fuel. 580cc's should easily produce 800hp

so for $500 you could have a 800+ hp capable pump tuned, and timed
or $1600 for a 750hp capable pump.

just trying to save people some money from buying somthing they dont need

Sorry to change the subject - but wana12V where did you get your pump work done?

II says the dragon fly will push 550cc's of fuel. Also remember fuel flow isn't the only thing that matters, it's also how it's calibrated, anyone can make a pump flow big numbers for cheap, but if it isn't calibrated good then driveability suffers, as well as performance. I would personally rather spend a bit more with a known good source with plenty of experience and that will stand behind their product, than go with a cheap built, high flowing pump.

he does work for Hailsey (he built curts turbos) and If im not mistaked be did Bobcats pump as well. among many others

He is top notch. He uses a stand with electronic fuel metering. He spends alot of time tuning each p&b to flow as closely to the others as possible which is what results in a smooth pump.

My pump is extremely smooth, starts without any throttle, and achieves 19mpg at 621hp with 30* timing and my truck has 4:10 gears

Does he have a website or a shop? I am needing to get my pump worked a little.
If you dont have anything, I can ask bobcat, he is porting and polishing a new head for me.

Just to clarify, i wasn't saying your pump was poorly built, just that the II pump is a good option.

Did he recam that 160 pump? I've got a 175 pump here that would make a good sacrifice.
