I have been patient long enough
Okay, time to give credit where credit is due. On Mon. of this week I received a call from Mike with ATS. He said that a TC was on its way to the local ATS dealer here. He said the TC would be there on Wed. and the dealer was ready to put it in on Thurs. The local dealer even called me on Tues. to get my truck scheduled in on Wed. After I dropped the truck off Wed. night I called Mike with ATS to find out what my portion of the labor was going to be for the TC changeout. He said I would only be responsible for the fluids! They were in their right to ask me to pay the labor, I understood this and was prepared for that. What a pleasant suprise to hear they were covering it. Especially with the way the economy is right now. I picked the truck up this morning and test drove it. Night and day difference. No more hard pulsing after lockup, and I can even put it in gear with the truck cold and it DOES NOT kill the engine. I am a very pleased and satisfied customer right now. There were definitely some communication issues with ATS and their dealer that made me very frusturated but they have made it right. Would I deal with ATS in the future.....yes. I would also like to thank John, one of the moderators here for his help in getting this ball rolling. The forum and John made this work. This forum is a great resource.

Shane:
Thanks for your great post Sir!
On behalf of all of our Administrators here, I want to commend you for the professional way in which you handled this whole situation.I am very happy to hear everything worked out well for you on your ATS Transmission Shane. As I had told you, I felt all along that Mike Meineke@ATS and his whole Staff would take care of this for you as that is what they have always done for me.
From my end here, you are very welcome on the help And as you also said, DTR is a great place! I couldn't agree more with you there.
Keep us posted on how everything is going.
Take care Shane and thanks again.

I have a friend who is looking to get a transmission & was leaning toward ATS. I was afraid for him when I first started reading this thread, but now after reading the comments from Eric....I will be sure he reads this thread. Thats the way it should be handled. Nice Eric!
Shane - We really do appreciate your understanding, considering the rather odd circumstances surrounding what's gone on, and we're glad to know it is performing as it should.
Thank you for taking the time to come back & post the outcome of your experience so others can see how it ended up instead of assuming things just got "swept under the rug" or something. Not many folks care to take the time to let others know when things are right.
Thanks again to John too, for making us aware of this so we could respond & get this worked out for you.
Have a great weekend & enjoy the tranny!

When you are saying no more pulse after lock up are you meaning like a shutter. When i get into overdrive my truck will almost bounce for about 2 seconds then it smooths out and drives fine.
I'm glad ATS took car of the problem but it makes me wonder what would have happened if the problem wasn't posted on a public forum and a moderator hadn't got involved. Thanks to a moderator this was resolved but if he hadn't been involved would this have been fixed? I'm probably just skeptical but I would tend to think not. Eric
The dealer didn't say what the exact failure was with the failed TC. He did say however that the replacement was brand new. As far as whether or not I would hav gotten this resolved without putting it on a public forum I can't be for sure....I think it would have. Bottom line is it got taken care of and I got taken care of. For that I am grateful.
