I got smoked tonight

Hey all, I was out driving tonight and got passed by a dually PowerStroke. Chased him all through town, finally got beside him at a light. We talked for the length of the light, and when it turned green I got the jump, for MAYBE 40', then he blew me away. I was quite shocked and more than a little upset, so now it time for an upgrade. Seeing as how I already have the TST I, should I stack an Edge or go to the TST PM3. All upgrades are in the sig, please advise. I am layed off, and still going to spend the money so this does not happen again. I do tow some trailers around, so I cannot go full race, but I can't have this happen again. If I lose it should be a lot closer than it was.

Why do you care so much? Someone is always quicker. I see you only have 275 injectors.

well, it looks as though you have the tranny to hold the power, i would get a more powerful box and some bigger injectors and sell the box and 275 that you have to help offset the cost. Then get a bigger turbo or even twins

Speed costs, how fast do you want to go? Bigger injectors and maybe a bigger turbo setup.

Remember the story about the rabbit and the turtle? maybe a little overdone here ,but you get the point. Challenge him a few more times, eventually his will blow apart.

After doing some research, I am going to buy the edge comp. This should hold the urge for a little while. I know the 275s are a little small, but will they work for now??

Just wondering about this, I don't know the answer. Will the later pumps take the strain of more fule from the bigger box without the larger injectors to support the added flow?

Just placed the order for an Edge Comp. Hopefully it gets here this week, and we will go playing next week. Looks like a turbo may be next.

I was going to say go with a Drag Comp, but the Comp will really go nicely with those 275s.

With the price of Diesel fuel heading for the upper stratosphere, I've learned to keep the Comp at a lower setting and accept getting passed a few times on the road and spend less time and money in front of the fuel pump.
Let 'em go, you'll pass him again when he needs to refuel.

It's just like rockwithjason said: Speed costs, how fast do you wanna go?
I had a simliar experience the other night as well with a f250. He had banks decals and such all over his ride so I'd like to think he had a full banks kit to keep with me.
I did get him by about a nose, but I did have 2 fourwheelers in my bed at the time if that counts for anything.
These new 6.0 furds are quick, that torque shift tranny they got is pretty impressive. And that little motor will rev up real quick with that variable turbo.
Not much for reliability though, the new diesel power mag has a test on an 05' and stated with pride that ford now expects 250,000 mile service life out of the 6.0! Now that really doesn't seem like much of a claim to me, there are small block chevys out there with more miles than that on them. I got 254,000 on my Cummins and she ain't showing any signs that it's about to quit.

Wuss lol. Sell that truck and buy a Geo. I have a little Suzuki Sidekick I rack miles on and save the truck for nice days and special occasions

I think it is kinda like fighting. No matter how bad you are someone out there is badder. I have been beat before and it really doesnt bother me to bad. I think you shoud just get the truck where you are happy with the performance and be done with it. Let the guys in the big boy stuff like 10 sec ect handle the cummins reputation. That is just my .02$
