How hot should my egts be with 125hp injectors?
I got some 125hp injetors ,smarty ,and a Dr.performancebox with a pump killer tune.I would like to know how hot my egts should run with a stock turbo? I think I seen 1800 on my gauge but I thank my gauge is off.

sleeperman:
It does not matter what kind or type of injectors you have in your engine as the rule on EGT'S is the same.
If your pyrometer is IN THE MANIFOLD you should NOT exceed 1300 degrees!
If the pyrometer is in the down pipe, the EGT'S should NOT exceed 1000 degrees!
If you are seeing EGT'S in the 1800 degree range, you are going to eventually
hurt the engine! Yes, it can take it for awhile, but the damage is being done each time you do that. I suggest looking into some water injection or going with twins or a larger single to get those EGT'S down.
Good luck!

With a Quad Adrenaline and injectors on a stock turbo, you could see those temps if you stay into the throttle for long.
Don't do it!
And remember it's not how hot you get (within reason), it's how long you run hot!
I've seen an engine that needed rebuilding after 1 hour towing heavy at 1300* on level west Texas hwy.
I've seen drag racers pull 1600-1800 degrees for the last 3-5 sec of a 1/4 miles and not have any problems for over 100,000 miles and 40-50 passes a yr. Personally, I would never exceed 1200* for more than 5 sec! And on a trip, never exceed 1100* other than to climb a short hill.
And be very careful with the timing if you are stacking 2-3 boxes. That will just make your living close to the edge even closer!
