How do I tell for sure if a GSK is installed
I just got a 96 5 speed 3500 and it has a 10 plate, gauges and the timing is supposed to be set at 16.It definately runs different than my 95 i just sold.It revs way quicker and sounds different at idle.It also idles higher than my auto truck did.I have a 3GSK sitting here I can put in but If there is a way I can tell without pulling out the springs that are in there.thanx
If it was put in through the top then you cannot tell.
The easiest way to tell is to drive it. If it pulls fully and consistantly to 3,000RPMs with falling on its face like its running out of fuel then you have a 3K GSK

if i hold it to the floor in neutral it sits on about 3100 and it idles at 1000.Ill test drive it some more and see if I can tell.I dont think its pulling to 3k though without cutting fuel.thanx
