Homemade Steps/Nerf Bars Ideas
 

Anybody make thier own? I dont care for most of what is available, especially anything that bolts to the body,so anyone have any ideas or pics?

I made mine from 3x3 square tubing then had them sprayed with bed liner stuff, I was like you and couldnt find anything out there close to what I wanted, I call them my KW side impact rails, they are stout...................see pics in my gallery.

I made some , not for the dodge,but out of 40 wall stainless and weld on 90s for the ends then polished them. got the pipe from a salvage yard had to buy the 90s new total cost was like $80.

Whitmore, those are pretty nice looking. I was going to make some rock slides/steps out of some round tubing but that really looks nice so I think I may go the square rout.

I saw a guy up near Mchenry IL. He has a 97-97 3500 dually 4x4.
He had some side pipes fab'd up, 3 or 4" all the way back, dumping in front of the back tires, then had steps made of diamond plate made up to go on top of them.
Probably the wildest setup ive seen yet

Yeah those are pretty sweet Whitmore, I will prolly go with something real close to that.

smokefrom4, I've been wanting to transform my westin step bars into side pipes. I think it would be pretty slick.
