This is my first post even though I have been taking in the good info for quite a while.What I really could use your input about is what to do about my IP pump problems.I have owned the truck since new even having special ordered it to get the options I wanted.Now on to my problems.Truck had a LP and IP pump failure at about 40k miles.Have also had some sensors fail.Then I noticed the other day some part-throttle stumble and loss of throttle response.Checked codes came up with 1293 and 216 if I remember right which are the same codes I had with my prior IP failure.so here are my choices as I see it.Buy a reman Vp44.Buy a vp44 from blue chip diesel maybe even the X pump for more milage.P-pump it.The truck has 127k miles and probably could use injectors along with a pump.As far as what I use the truck for its a daily driver, occasional heavy towing(20,000lbs triple axle gooseneck dump) and plowing snow.If I p-pump it what do I need and what won't work anymore.This is a stripper model truck the only option is air-conditioning.I think I have also found a donor 96 truck for the parts I need.When I'm all said and done I would like to be around 300-350hp either way I go.
