Didn't really take that long, about 2 hours. The down pipe was the hardest thing to get off. Everything is so rusted. I still need to finish painting the stack too. I'll try to get some pictures under the hood soon.

 

Dont they cite you for those on the street for obstructing field of view? Not being a smart a$$ Just curious

 

I thought hood stacks were illegal for street use here in Texas.

 

So far ive passed by plenty of cops and they havent done or said anything except stare. I havent passed by a dps officer yet though, im kinda currious to see what will happen. I'm thinking about shaving off the top a little more to keep it lower. Most of the cops around here are pretty cool anyways

 

Yea get some pics under the hood and maybe some blowin a little smoke video too huh. Looks pretty sick I like it.

 

I live in Albuquerque and I've had my hood stack in for a bout 4 months, drive by cops all day long and they don't bother me. One of my buddies is a cop and I asked him before I put it on if it would be ok and he said it's fine because it's a diesel.

 

alb huh, guess i havent seen you around... most cops are ok as long as you are not doing something dumb... they always ask me about my stacks and such. seem pretty interested.

no need to be callin names and bashing. it is a difference of opinion, if you dont like it thats fine, then dont do it to your truck, but there is no need to post things like that.

i think it looks kinda cool. i couldnt cut a hole in my hood though..... definatley like to see some video and underhood pics!!

That looks awesome! I've always thought about doing this instead of going with stacks in the box for my 01. I really need to go ask questions about what is legal in my area!
