35/S400 vs BD twins

Anybody ran both? I don't want a sled puller or dyno queen. I want quick spool, decent power, and cool EGTs. I was initially thinking 35/S400 setup but have found I can get a decent price on the BD S300 twins.

I would say if the S400 has a 1.10AR housing it would be pretty much a toss-up. But the BD's are engineered together so I think it would be a better spooling set and they are probably wastegated better as well.

Does anyone have experience with the 1.10 housing on the s400 in a twin setup. That is what I was thinking about under my 35-40. I have a 3b with the 22cm housing and it is great for towing, it's just I can get a part of a kit for a 400 pretty reasonable.

The only S400 turbos I have seen that are available with the 1.1ar exhaust housing are the smaller versions with either an 83mm or 87mm turbine. These are not the "B2" version. The smaller turbine versions are almost 3 times the cost of the 96mm turbine "B2" version.

On E-bay you can buy an S475 or S472 with an 87mm turbine and 1.10AR for like $750.

I checked ebay and did not see anything except an S475 83mm turbine. $750 would be great for an 87mm version. I'd probably buy a spare so i can quit changer compressors back and forth.

So the standard s-400 is only available with the 1.32 exhaust housing or bigger?
