The fuel pressure gauge is an absolute necessity for the 24 valve engines since the electric lift pump is the weak link in the whole system. If it goes and you don't notice it, your injector pump is next sooner or later and you can buy a good sized truck load of gauges for what you will pay for one of those.
Depending on what you are doing with the truck and how many mods you have made would determine if you need more gauges than that. If you have mods and do heavy towing, I would recommend a pyro but my last two diesels didn't have any gauges on them.
Now if you're drag racing and/or heavilly modified, or towing a lot, I would recommend boost gauge and several temp gauges such as trans and rear end maybe.
If all you do is haul groceries and an ocassional run to the dumpster, the gauges (other than the FP gauge) may not be necessary in my opinion. Now if you want to look really cool, stack them up.

I have boost and FP in my truck just so you know.

If you don't think you could do the gauge install yourself, you might try contacting Rob Thomas. He is a member on this site in the Michigan area.
