Fuel pressure going crazy ?
Fuel pressure going crazy ?
Search feature isn't working so I have to ask. My edge attitude guage has suddenly started jumping all over the place, and went doen to 2-4 psi. So I pulled over and installed my spare (stock) pump. I have a vulcan big line kit. the Pressure instantly went back up to 15-16 psi, but soon started jumping back and forth between 5-8, then 13-16, and I mean bang bang... all over the place. I changed the fuel filter to be sure, but it didn't do anything. Now it seems to hang out in the 6-9 psi range more often, and spends less time in the 14-16 range. Are there any other factors that would reduce fuel pressure so quickly?
thanks for your thoughts.

I'm not sure about an edge, but with my autometer gauges I needed two snubbers in front of the sender. With only one, the gauge went bezerk.
The VP produces pretty harsh pulses and it does a number on FP senders.
I am assuming there were no performance issues. You could hook up a mechanical gauge with a hose long enough to reach through the hood to have verification that it was your sender and not your LP while driving.
Might be a place to start anyway...
